Remember The Ocean Ranger accident 38 years ago

Simtran (USA) developed the very first Ballast Simulator in 1983, in response to The Ocean Ranger.

In 1989, the fifth most advanced unit, awarded by PETROBRAS, was not delivered. In 1993, a 3D Graphics Digital Modeling Solution was developed, on a tentative to resume works. In 2001, P–36 sank due to stability issues. In 2005, Thunder Horse lists at GOM. They were the biggest MODUs.

On Dec. 2018, Olinda Star (ex-P-XIII / SS-20 chosen to develop a Simulator) lists off India's coast. We envision to deliver a SaaS advanced eTraining Hub, with more interpolated simulation scenarios.
